KLISBio appoints Rodrigo Bianchi as new Chairman of the Board
KLISBio (Silk Biomaterials S.r.l.) has named Rodrigo Bianchi to the position of Chairman, taking over responsibilities from founder Antonio Alessandrino. The appointment became effective December 20, 2021.
Bianchi brings three decades of healthcare leadership experience. His recent role was President of International Markets at Smith & Nephew, following 26 years at Johnson & Johnson, where he led divisions including DePuy Mitek and Ethicon. His career began at Procter & Gamble Italy.

KLISBio develops silk-based biomedical solutions targeting clinical needs including peripheral nerve injuries, vascular diseases, bone defects, and tendon repairs. The company's first product, a silk-based nerve repair graft, is expected to reach clinical availability in 2023.
Alessandrino transitions to Chief Technology Officer while remaining on the board. CEO Gabriele Grecchi noted that Rodrigo bringing additional insights and ideas will guide KLISBio's growth phase.
