KLISBio to participate at 30th FESSH Congress

KLISBio, a regenerative medicine company utilizing silk-based technology, will attend the 30th FESSH Congress scheduled for June 25-28, 2025 in Helsinki, Finland. Company leadership including Founder and Chief Technology Officer Antonio Alessandrino and Junior Product Manager Alisia Corinne Fiore will participate to strengthen current relationships and establish new ones with physicians and strategic partners.

The company's primary focus involves advancing discussions about potential Early Adopters for a European Clinical study related to CE Mark approval of SILKBridge® Nerve Guide.

SILKBridge® is an absorbable medical device constructed from Bombyx mori silk fibroin designed for surgical repair of peripheral nerve discontinuities. The device features a multilayered structure combining silk fibers with electrospun components. The outer layers promote cell adhesion and faster resorption, while the intermediate textile layer provides mechanical strength and slower resorption rates, mimicking the extracellular matrix at the nanoscale level.

Recent pilot study results were published in the Journal of Peripheral Nerve System, conducted by researchers from University Hospital Zurich and Cantonal Hospital Aarau.

KLISBio maintains patent protection for various silk-based innovations. The company's leadership includes CEO Gabriele Grecchi, Chief Scientific Officer Giuliano Freddi, and Board Chairman Rodrigo Bianchi, supported by an international team of biomedical professionals.
