KLISBio to share its leading-edge silk-based technology platform at 2022 AAOS Annual Meeting

KLISBio, a regenerative medicine company utilizing silk-based technology, announced participation in the 2022 American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting held March 22-26 in Chicago. The company addresses critical challenges in peripheral nerve injury treatment through its innovative approach. SILKBridge, their lead product candidate, represents a tissue-engineered solution designed specifically for digital nerve surgical repair using pure silk fibroin material.

SILKBridge combines native silk fiber strength with the biological properties of electrospun silk fibers. The technology targets peripheral nerve discontinuities to facilitate regeneration across damaged areas. The company is collaborating with leading hand surgery specialists across the United States and Europe, with US market availability projected for 2023.

KLISBio develops solutions addressing various orthopedic, vascular, and pharmaceutical delivery needs including bone defects, tendon damage, and controlled drug release applications.
